In   2003, he received his Master degree from Huazhong Agriculture University,   China;

In   2010, he received his Ph.D. from Wuhan University, China;

In   2011, he joined the College of Agriculture, Guangxi University and served as   assistant professor, associate professor and professor successively

RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT

QIU   lab's research mainly focuses on insect-resistance rice germplasm and genes   detection, gene function and molecular breeding. We have identified lots of   highly insect-resistance rice varieties/lines and detected more than ten   resistance genes. We strive to understand the resistance mechanism and to   develop highly resistance merit rice novel varieties.
